Fishing from Maroubra Cliffs

Maroubra Cliffs (Watercolour)
Maroubra Cliffs (Watercolour)

It’s seems so long since my last post here that I’m not sure I can remember how to write… in the meantime we have had a lovely break, flying to Victoria and driving along the Great Ocean Road. There were some spectacular sea views along the way, so it’s easy to slip back into this watercolour of Maroubra that I started before we left.

The break has obviously done me some good as the initial wash for the sandstone cliffs went on really well yesterday and I built it up into some respectable looking rocks today adding fishing rods, people and whatnot at the end. I think I could tidy it up some more but as an experiment it’s very satisfying as is – it’s only a small piece so there’s not much room for fine detail… and it’s another one that I may come back to some day at a larger scale.
