At last, I think I may have finally finished painting the bedroom ceiling today, I just need an independent spotter to point out any bits I’ve missed :-).
And with the success of my second day painting this vintage rose I’m having a very good day indeed! I’m really pleased with how this study has gone and I love the mix of colours, even though I thought they clashed a bit yesterday. Somehow adding a little strength to the pink has balanced things out and now they’re playing nicely together.
I also softened some of the darkest purple edges, which probably helped. In fact, I considered touching up the whole background as it’s looking a bit patchy, but then I decided I might make it worse. It sort of adds movement to the piece anyway :-).
