Well, my resolution to avoid painting water lasted less than 24 hours and today I found myself drawn back to the cormorant that we saw at the weekend on our trip to Newcastle.
I still don’t have a plan as to how I’ll tackle this rippled river but I’ll take it a bit slower than the park painting of the past two days and see if I can find a way – maybe I can paint it more like a mill pond than a breezy river 😛
I’ve also picked a different pose for the bird, however I’m not sure about the composition. Maybe the bird should be looking into the picture, and perhaps it should be on the farthest post rather than the near one… hmm, I always find composition confusing, no matter how many rules I learn!
