I’m quite pleased with the way this painting turned out finally… I spent some time today studying the shadows and trying to bring out something more three dimensional from the initial washes.
I think I probably need to re invent a few highlights when I can find my opaque white. Of course, ideally, the highlights would be ‘saved’ white paper, but unfortunately they all got lost while I was splashing colour around at the beginning :-).
