Well, I’m already feeling the benefits of my recent brush practising sessions with some newly found skills in brush handling :-). I’ve begun to add some background details to my Bluebell picture, which I’m chuffed to find actually look a bit like the greenery behind them in real life.
Looking at it now I realise that I need to focus on placement and spread out that patch of ferns, or add something else so that it’s not in a clump just behind the Bluebells. They are actually standing in front of a hedge of sorts, made of ferns and an Australian Jasmine like climber that’s spread over our front fence (not flowering yet unfortunately).
Even the strappy leaves beneath the Bluebells worked quite well, so I’m feeling very positive so far :-).
