So there’s now a bit more variation in the greenery and therefore I rolled off the masking fluid and began to finish the flower heads…. It’s interesting how small they are when you come to painting the petals, there’s hardly room to put the brush down let alone paint details.

I also notice that the picture is very colour limited – this was a deliberate choice at the beginning, but it’s only now that the masking fluid is off that you really notice that it’s lacking something.

The background might also be a concern – again, it looked fine while the masking was there, but now I think it might be hard to make the blooms stand out in front of it.
