Today’s practice started early with this sketch of a Coal Tit balancing on a bird feeder, borrowed from Paint my Photo. Having website problems has made me wary, and also grateful to find it working this morning, so I thought I’d jump in early… I’m also off down to Wollongong this afternoon to attend the opening of a good friend’s art exhibition and didn’t want to leave myself sketching on the train or under pressure this evening :-).
It was a bit strange sitting to practice as my first task of the day, normally it’s the last thing I do after all the other commitments, house, work and otherwise. It worked OK though, and it didn’t take up all of the day like I worry it might if I do it before everything else!
