The heat has been getting to everyone again today with temperatures in the high thirties and lots of humidity, but this little guy seems to love it. We have lots of Red Cheeked Bulbuls around the garden and they’ve been singing their hearts out, maybe they can tell the grapes are beginning to ripen.

I recently noticed that they have two distinctive calls as well. One is a short up and down trilling tune of about 6 or 8 notes, the second is a continuous noise that sounds just like bubbling water. It’s lovely to have them around, chattering away to each other.
