Day 89: Spring Woodland, Pt. 4

Spring Woodland (Watercolour)

Spring Woodland (Watercolour)

I’ve darkened some of the foreground trees today to push the farther ones back into the distance more. This also seems to emphasise the sunshine, although I should have left more white spaces amongst the higher leaves as well.

It still needs lots more work –  the undergrowth on the right hand side needs more detail, and the foreground could do with some sort of creative leafy, scrubby, soil and stoney stuff. I think I may darken the upper branches too, somehow they all seem to be fading into nothing and they should probably more contrasty against the bright sky – sorry, I think I made that word up :-).
