Since yesterday I’ve done some touching up in various places and I think I’ve gone as far as I’m going to with this iteration. The tree trunks have had a little more detail added, I think the paint is getting too thick now though as it doesn’t seem to to show up much – that’s certainly something for me to research, I do struggle to get deeper colours without losing the brightness. I’d love to see more contrast in some areas but I don’t seem to be able to get it.
I’ve also added more colour, and with it a suggestion of more detail, to the foreground area. It could probably go further still… Maybe I’ll come back to this one later, or maybe I’ll start again sometime and see if I can approach it with more confidence next time 🙂
In the meantime I’m ready to find something new to excite me for tomorrow!
