I came across an interesting website yesterday while I was trawling the internet for watercolour inspiration. A random search had taken me to artinstructionblog.com, a site full of tutorials for all types of medium, and there I read about another resource with huge potential… Paint my Photo.
The purpose of the site is to link artists with photographers and provide a source of reference material for painting, without the worry of copyright infringement. There are lots of pictures there just waiting to be painted, great for days when you have no idea what to tackle.
They also have a monthly challenge, if you should need further incentive, so my new painting is chosen from the April challenge. It’s a lovely, simple but effective composition with some pretty colours which I hope will be fun to paint.
