Work has been ramping up this week with an impending handover as my supervisor prepares to leave, so the past few days have left me little time to do anything else except sit at the computer. It’s frustrating not to turn around and play with the paints on my drawing board, but it’s also very exciting to have so much more to learn about and take responsibility for…. and it’s short term just while we’re in transition, so it’s easier to bear.
Nonetheless, once dinner was over and we’d watched Mission Impossible 4 (that we recorded six months ago) I felt the urge to pick up a pencil – before I completely forgot how to do it! A quick search through my reference pictures and I found this cute sun bathing lamb (thanks to Lisa Tringali on PaintmyPhoto). I think mine turned out a bit fatter than the original, and I’ve aged him a bit! It was fun to do and nice practise to keep my hand in 🙂 .
