Day 139: Progress with Lemons

Lemons (Watercolour)
Lemons (Watercolour)

I was surprised when I woke this morning to find we had thick fog outside, bad enough to affect Sydney Airport, which is nearby. It was beautiful!

As I walked Flint along the river I was imagining how I would paint the trees and bushes fading out of sight, some of them displaying vibrant yellowy green leaves with carpets of dead ones underneath. It was very inspiring and I was looking forward to experimenting later in the day.

Then I got home, had some breakfast and went up a ladder (still painting that darned ceiling, 1 & 1/2 coats to go!) and completely forgot all about the fog…. until I walked the dog again this evening. Of course by then I’d already done my practice, before it got dark, and so we have another update on the lemon tree. It’s going well, I think 🙂

  1. It’s going really well. Do you take your camera when you walk the dog, just in case ?
Happy we weren’t flying in today though.

    1. Hi Mum, I do often have a camera with me, on my phone… If you’d been flying I think they were taking people to Brisbane instead :-)!
