I didn’t want to bore you all with my Chinese painting practice for tomorrow, which was a repetition of last week’s class… and which was less successful (my heart wasn’t really in it, unfortunately).
So after we’d had dinner I sketched this hairy boar from a photo on Paintmyphoto – apparently it’s a wild one from Exmoor. Fun to sketch and kept me entertained while the cricket was on :-). It’s a bit rougher than I usually draw – you can attribute this to an interpretation of theme, or to the lateness of the hour and the quantity of wine involved… I prefer to think it’s the first, maybe as a result of the second :-P.
Hahaha! Entirely appropriate handling of the medium for the subject matter! Looks….ferocious! x
