Yesterday Jim and I took a drive out to La Perouse, the weather was so beautiful… after a late breakfast we walked across a couple of beaches and I picked up a handful of the fabulous shells that were scattered across the sand.
Today I’ve tried to paint them, and here are the results. I swished a bit of sand under them too because they looked really odd floating on white paper. Again, not a great example of loose and suggestive, but a great exercise anyway. I discovered, or reminded myself again, that things don’t necessarily look good in the interim stages.
Love these. Simply but nicely observed…
Thanks Moira, they were fun to do 🙂
