Fuzzy Bunnies, Pt. 3

Fuzzy Bunnies (Watercolour)

I had a few minutes free this afternoon so I spent it trying to add some grass texture and getting to a ‘finished’ state on this picture…

The foreground hare has a bit more detail now and there’s more of an impression of grass and flowers. I still didn’t really work out a method of applying the grass, it’s totally trial and error and a bit of scumbling with a paper towel, but it sort of works.

I think it’s time to move on now, whether or not it is finished… this evening I spent a little while looking through some previous paintings with a friend and her 9 year old. I was surprised what a huge difference it makes to the quality of a painting when you haven’t seen it for six months! Maybe when I look back I’ll be able to see what needs finishing 🙂

  1. Well that worked well, it looks lovely with the grasses and flowers. I bet one of the girls would love it on their bedroom wall !
